Kawasaki launches a special edition of W800 in Europe

The retro bikes have gained space in the market, especially in Europe where the Kawasaki W800 was launched in 2010. For 2012 the model won a special version, all in black matte with golden paint on the rim.

As for the technical specifications, The W800 Special Edition continues in the same way, with a 4-stroke 48CV engine of maximum power at 6,500 rpm. With 19-inch front wheels and rear 18, the W800 has disc brake on the front and the drum in the rear.

The happy Europeans can also turn it into a coffee Racer with a set of accessories (which cost 491 euros) and single seat (which costs 369 euros).

Pedro:

The bikes in the retro style are very cool that there is no doubt.
But what the companies manufacturers of these models really like in them is the profit that they give them..... they produce a cheap bike to build after all the project is of a motorcycle of the years 70 and profit upon them with the values of today.
Tempting, isn't it?
Yes, except for an electronic injection here and a disc brake over there they're the same as the old 500 Four or super-inflated Norton bikes.

SZK:
Pedro, you're wrong. The only remaining part of the 70 years in today's retro style models designs. Everything else is as modern as any other 21st-century project. Nor could it be different, because the products marketed today need to comply with stringent environmental standards that were despised at that time. And if you check the prices of 40 years ago and correct by inflation (in any country of reference), you will see that today's prices are kept or even lower, at absolute values. Although they look old, they are modern products, much more sophisticated, for similar or inferior prices.

BMW M1: photos, videos, technical specifications and price

New BMW M1: photos, videos, technical specifications, and priceAfter much suspense, BMW has officially unveiled the images, details, and specs of the new and awaited BMW M1 sporting coupe. The inspiration of the new BMW 1 M series was the first BMW M3, and, thus, in the words of BMW, it embodies the spirit of unmistakable sportsmanship of the series M.

Of course, the new BMW 1 M series features all elements of a sports car, such as bi-xenon headlights (with LED eyebrows), enlarged wheel boxes that frame the beautiful 19-wheeled wheels. Only three colors will be available: Alpine white, black metallic sapphire, and orange metallic Valance.

The interior comes equipped with sports benches coated in Boston leather and Alcantara. There is also a new cluster of instruments, new steering wheel with leather seam in orange. Among the optional equipment, we have dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, Harman Kardon audio sound system, BMW ConnectedDrive (with Internet access) and GPS navigation with an 8.8-inch screen.

As expected, the engine of the new BMW M1 is a twin-turbo 3.0 L with six cylinders in line with 335 horsepower, associated with a manual only six-speed transmission box. Result: 0-100 km in 4.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 17.3 seconds and maximum speed electronically limited to 250 km. The average fuel consumption is at 10.41 km/L.

One of BMW's concerns was to make sure his bolide BMW M1 behaves like a real BMW. For this, engineering installed an aluminum suspension with a front axle of double pivo; The rear has five connecting points.

Despite being marketed as a "pure" sports car, the BMW M1 comes equipped with a lot of technology: DSC (Dynamic speed control), ABS brakes, anti-slip control (ASC),
Dynamic braking control (DBC), braking control on (CBC). In the event that all these systems fail, the central computer triggers, in an emergency, the braking system automatically.

The new BMW M1 will be presented at the North American International Auto Show, and the price estimate in Germany is €50,500 Euros, which amounts to just over R $115,000.00 (December 2010).

BMW G 310 R-We have already piloted the most anticipated bike of 2017.

Review: BMW G 310 R-We have already piloted the most anticipated bike of 2017.
-Hollywood, Los Angeles, California (USA)

With the arrival of the new G 310 R, a new era in the history of 100 years of BMW deroasted is officially underway. It not only possesses the distinction of being the first low-capacity motorcycle of the brand since some unsuccessful attempts in 1920, but also for being the first BMW motorcycle developed outside of Germany. The G 310 R is the first of two confirmed models based on this engine-chassis combo, the second to the Compact Trail G 310 GS. But for now, let's take a look at this sweet flying machine.

The BMW took half a decade to perfect this bike and, after flying it on the streets of Los Angeles and in the canyons full of curves that surround it, I believe it was well worth the wait. The fact that BMW decided to build an entrance motorcycle is a surprise for some people. After all, it is in contrast to the high-performance philosophy that the company has taken in the last 10 years with the release of the spectacular S 1000 RR, K 1600 GT and the classic ninet. Instead, this is a motorcycle built specifically for beginners, people in search of a means of transportation and riders who simply like to walk, but are looking for something a little more refined than the same bikes as ever.

The G 310 R is powered by a 313 cc liquid-cooled engine, with electronic injection and a reverse cylinder layout that points the entrance forwards and the exhaust to the rear. It weighs 158 pounds in marching order and has the bench 78.4 cm from the ground, i.e. it is light enough and low enough not to be intimidating for beginners or riders of lesser stature. The propeller of a single cylinder may not thrill the most experienced, but it does not intimidate who is starting and is more energetic than most of us expected.

Our test ride started in Hollywood during the morning rush, and so we were subjected to a to-e-walk with traffic moving at a slow pace in the first hour. During that time, I found the clutch very light to trigger, although the lever is not adjustable and has a long course for my medium-sized hands. The six-speed transmission revealed accurate changes, with a little bit of noise when the gears and teeth align, but overall it's pretty smooth. Sometimes there was a slight delay between the actual change and moment that the March indicator on the Panel recognized the change.

The engine is strangely quiet in idle, so much so that the first time I gave the match I thought he hadn't called. Once you start twisting the accelerator, the stainless steel leak emits a respectable snoring as the spins rise. The torque is enough and the first gear is short enough to not need to "burn" the clutch at the exits.

Check this out:

KTM 690 Duke New 2018

After our road through heavy traffic finally arose the 101 Freeway and we had the first opportunity to stretch the marches of the little BMW and see what she could do. I held the spiked accelerator and started to change only at the limit of 10,500 rpm, while the traffic disappeared in my rearview mirrors. I'm joking. Actually, that's not how it happened. It takes a few moments for the G 310 R to gain speed, but it was much faster than I expected.

Are 34 horsepower delivered to 9,500 rpm, which means you will only break the speed limits on the road if you want. The small BMW works very well at 110 km/h, with the tachometer at about 7000 rpm, which is also the track in which the engine responds more vigorously. The vibrations of the monocylindrical are perceptible at these speeds, but nothing irritating. Overall, this engine works well on highways, in the same way as in urban thoroughfares.

We made the route on Mulholland Road to the world-famous Rock Store, where we stopped for a quick brunch and a cup of coffee to warm our slightly chilled bones. The wind protection is minimal, but again, I didn't expect anything different. And I didn't really care, because I was having a really good time riding this bike.

From that point on, we were officially testing the dynamics of G 310 R on the 120 km drive through the canyons between Mulholland and Malibu. By the time we were 20 minutes away from the Rock Store, it was obvious to me that the little Beemer could carve the road in the best way. Its lightweight combination, wheel rims 17 ″ (our test unit came with Michelin tyre Pilot Street 110/70-17 on the front and 150/60-17 in the rear) and well-balanced chassis provides a fun driving experience. Taking the bike from side to side hardly requires effort, and it is at the same time well planted to the ground at higher speeds. The inverted front forks of 41mm of the Kayaba are not adjustable, but they worked well for me, although the bike plunges a little under strong braking.

BMW X5 REVIEW

BMW explained that the forks are set up for a range of pilots from 45 to 90 kg, and they chose to keep the cost down by adopting a non-adjustable fork and a mono buffer in the rear, adjustable in preload. They also said that most rookie pilots don't want to mess with the suspension. I weigh 84 pounds, I was at the top end of the spectrum, and I had a little fun coming down and climbing the roads curvy. I also heard other journalists saying how impressed they were with the handling, smoothness and fun of riding on the G 310 R. Which means that it goes well in the three situations where you can be mounted on it: City, highway and secondary roads.

That then begs the question: how did the German designers understand it so well? Well, that's what they do and it took five years, which means it better be good! It all starts with the steel truss frame and the way the engine is placed inside it. The propeller is as far forward in the chassis as possible, thanks to the inverted cylinder layout, which keeps the weight on the front. Also, the head is tilted slightly to the rear, which helps maintain the weight distribution in a theoretically perfect balance of 50/50.

Many of the key parts of G 310 R came into play because of the engine's position. This made it possible to use a long aluminum oscillating arm, which makes things easier in the rear-action bumper and, in turn, helps to plant the front when you are accelerating. The short leak provides a quick exit to the burning gases, which in turn reduces emissions a little bit and helps this BMW to meet the stringent Euro 4 standards of European regulation. No matter what angle you look at, this bike works. And I wasn't the only one to say that.

No doubt the G 310 R employs a bit more premium components than you could expect. Firstly, the fairing is sharp, the paint is striking and the construction appears to be of high quality. Welds are nice, the wires are tidy and the overall finish gives the idea of a more expensive bike. The LCD panel is characterized by a large indicator with speedometer, tachometer, fuel indicator, clock, gear indicator, average consumption and countdown of mileage from the fuel reserve light.

ABS is standard equipment and although it is not the last generation unit, it works fine. The roads were cold and wet in some places, and I was constantly dragging the rear brake to see how he would behave. The front disc bites hard, but only when we force it, without scaring. The brake system components are nice, too. Steel meshes start in the fluid reservoirs and lead to a single four-piston radial-mounting clamp biting a 300 mm disc in the front, and a single piston clamps squeezing a 240 mm disc into the rear. There was never a point where I questioned the braking power of G 310 R, and we were walking strong.

In terms of consumption, we observed 30.6 km/l by the onboard computer during the evaluation (BMW declares that the bike is capable of 35.6 km/l). With a fuel tank of 10.9 liters, it means you have a range of about 330 km before refueling, depending on how you drive.

BMW models the G 310 R as a roadster: sports part, naked part, entirely beemer. She is beautiful, hot and fly and, tabled at US $4,995 in the USA (about R $16700), is there what not to like? Let's see: The finish of the bike is all you expect from a BMW, although there are people who will complain about it being built in India. The BMW team with us in Los Angeles was very interested in pointing out that this is a plant specifically built for BMW in that country, administered by the TVS Motor Company, capable of producing 1 million motorcycles per year. They also have a factory in Brazil now (which begins to produce the G 310 R in the first half of 2017), so it is a normal move for BMW to expand production out of their home country, as they already make other brands.

I had a long time to look at the bike both stopped and in motion. What I saw out of place were the huge foot support brackets and a peculiar rear. On the one hand, the taillight is kind of bright, reflective, but it looks weird and I don't like the way it was hung in the back. However, the large and ugly painted aluminum stand is what I would most like to change. In the trail version, the G 310 GS (photo below), a small black plastic cover hides the rear brake reservoir and a tubular steel bracket secures the passenger's foot support. At GS you can see that the set looks cleaner.

In general, we feel that BMW is present on this bike. The company had decades to see what the competition was doing in the low-capacity category, and another five years to tune its own entry offer. So you expect this effort to be rewarded. And G310 R meets all the requirements: affordable, economical, good-looking and fun to walk. What else do you want from your first bike? Maybe a BMW emblem on the tank?

And in Brazil? The BMW newly factory in Manaus (AM) has as main objective the production of the compact G 310 R and subsequently of the G 310 GS. The expectation of the release of Naked is for the first semester of 2017, which is demanding several changes in the company. This is because the brand will need to adapt to receive a new type of consumer, which will require, as we hear from sources connected to BMW, new financial services, and post-sales values. As for the price of the bikes, it follows as main doubt: there is expected something around the R $23000 for G 310 R, which will have as main rivals to Kawasaki Z300 and Yamaha MT-03, and from R $25000 to G 310 GS, this without direct rival.

BMW X5 REVIEW - From the first moment, the BMW X5 subjugates by its presence and inevitably attracts the look. In the high-end cockpit, every kilometer traveled is a treat. From its elevated driving position, the driver always enjoys a perfect overview of the road.

BMW XDRIVE.
The BMW xDrive Intelligent Integral transmission system also adapts flexibly to the most delicate road conditions to maintain optimum motor skills. With XDrive and the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), the BMW continues its course without deviating from its heading. Through the DSC sensors, xDrive dissolves the advance driving force between the axles in order to counteract, from the outset, any effect of oversteer or understeer, thus improving significantly the holding of trajectory. The system also guarantees safe and rapid start-ups on slippery surfaces and on steep sections. In critical situations, XDrive allows the SDC to be less solicited. BMW XDrive combines the advantages of full traction – motor skills, trajectory and walking safety – and the legendary agility of BMW.

BMW X1 2ND REVIEW

BMW X1 2ND REVIEW - Less than 1 year ago I acquired a BMW X1 0km vehicle directly at Concessionaria BMW Auto Star.

After the first mandatory revision, we realized that the vehicle returned with oil spill. We've notified the dealership that sent a tow truck to remove the vehicle. After a week, we were informed that the fence (CAP) was not properly fitted (I wonder if it takes so many days to identify this problem...).

Well, mistakes happen and we accept the return as well as the repair of the car.

After a few months of use, we return to Concessionaria for the second mandatory revision. To our surprise, when we removed the car and returned home the vehicle was again leaking oil. In addition to the oil spill, the tire has withered less than 3 days after revision. I contacted BMW to resend the vehicle to the dealership (Auto Star).

That's when the horror Show started:

1. According to the consultant they had no winch by the high volume of incidents in SP (it is known that January is a period of holidays and the movement is extremely low-until the caster is suspended at that time)-well arch with the costs and I sent the car on account;

2. The responsible consultant closed the hours at 6:00 and even left no warning that another car would arrive, the same arrived at 6:30 pm;

3. The next day in the morning we had no return and when I call to have news the consultant informs me that there was not even entry in the order of service;

4. At 12h I receive an opinion that everything is fine and that the tyre emptied by an error at the time of alignment;

5. At the end of the day (17:58) I contact you to remove the vehicle and the consultant tells me that the wheel was cracked and the tyre was flat;

6. I ask for a formal opinion (email) and a quotation to purchase a new wheel, behold the consultant tells me that the opinion will be sent the following day as the expedient was closed (until today I received no opinion, only a service order to execute with an Astronomical value and a period of 60 for the wheel to come from Germany);

7. At my suggestion, the consultant seeks a palliative solution (repair in the wheel and tire change) and sends a new proposal with absurd value and recharging the alignment/balancing (possible cause of all disorder)-the value informed for purchase of 1 tire It was R $2882.88, after quick search on the internet I find the same model for just over half of the value mentioned.

Given the above, today I decided to follow up with a private workshop for repair but I will seek my rights with the organs responsible.

I would like to:
1. Whether the vehicle has a problem since oil leakage is not common, even more coming from a review where mechanics are specialized and highly skilled;
2. That the BMW assumes the errors and arch with the part that falls to it of the damage caused (alignment/balancing, change of the tire...) and that at least covers a reasonable value of the items mentioned;

3. Finally and most importantly, receive a service that every consumer deserves, a service worthy of a world brand as is BMW;

BMW X6 Reviews Specs Price Photos and Performance

For many, the BMW X6 does not make sense. In fact, BMW has a big SUV, the X5, and it also has sports cars, coupes, and everything. What's the point of making an SUV with "coupe" body, dimensions as generous as performance and off-road fitness less than the ability to ride very fast at the Nurburgring? There seems to be no reason, but if we enter the field of emotion, the X6 makes perfect sense, especially in this evaluated version, the xDrive50i with M Sports package.

Incidentally, do not call the SUV X6, it wants to be called SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). It's chicer and more suited to the extravagant look of the car, which has won renewed lines on the 2015 line, designed to provide greater aerodynamic flow to the model. There are also rear-view mirrors and spoiler in carbon fiber, as well as a small upgrade in the front grille. Small, punctual changes, enough for the X6 to keep sighing wherever it goes. And, as if that were not enough, this M Sports version adds even more exciting 20 "wheels.

But just open the hood to see what really takes the breath: a huge V8 4.4 biturbo gasoline, which delivers a power of 450 hp @ 5,500-6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 66.3 kgfm @ 2,000-4,500 rpm. Such force is distributed on all four wheels (favored by the rear wheels) and orchestrated by an eight-speed ZF transmission. Such a setting allows the 2,245 kg monster to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h. And the performance figures cannot accurately describe the incredible feel of accelerating the X6.

Except that before feeling the puncture caused by the V8 in the viscera, the driver will shelter comfortably in a leather seat with wide electrical adjustments. The driving position is as low as possible for such a tall car, and the steering column has the widest telescopic (electric) setting I have ever seen. The interior is so cozy that you can not immediately see the dimensions of the VAS, and the multimedia capabilities aboard abusing the power of seduction: Bang & amp; Olufsen, 10 "front screen and two 9.2" rear monitors and independent DVDs in the front and rear. Add this to the quality interior space for all passengers and the first soundproofing.

And nobody will enjoy more of the technical qualities of the car than the commander. There is a digital cluster that changes your information according to driving mode (Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport +), GPS with real-time traffic, head-up display, automatic braking system, night vision system (BMW Night Drive) and Dynamic Spot Light (LED) headlamps that automatically direct a high light beam to boards, pedestrians, animals, or anything that could damage the integrity of the X6. In addition, there is a feature that makes the steering wheel vibrate if the driver invades the road dividers. It's definitely one of those cars that requires a lot of "pilot" effort to do some bullshit.

Maneuvering a 4.91m-long, 1.99m-wide car and 2.93m of car wheels in tight garages may seem complicated, and it does, but the X6 will do anything to make life easier. In the central display, the car uses the cameras around the body to generate an image as if the car was being shot from above by a drone and, together with the parking sensors from all corners, makes any driver newly approved in the Beacon test maneuver (almost) as well as a Las Vegas valet. And for those who do not rely so much on technologies, the mirrors are large and lower tilt-down to facilitate the maneuvers made the old-fashioned, and only the visibility by the rear port is poor, a fault of the SAV body.

Using the X6 in the city is as flashy as strolling in the mall holding hands with a Panicat. The car is too bulky for the ever narrower streets of our metropolis, but that does not bother the tranquility felt by running with the crossover. In Eco Pro mode, the gearshift shifts rapidly and the start-stop puts the 450 hp to sleep at the traffic lights and long stops. With the BMW Adaptative Drive, the car's computers analyze and regulate the performance of the anti-roll bar and shock absorbers at all times, so that even the crispest streets do not cause excessive discomfort to X6 passengers, even with a profile so low. The measured consumption was around 6.5 km / l of gasoline. The more horses, the more food.

Already on the road, the behavior of the car is still higher than you might expect. In Comfort mode, the X6 flows smoothly in any situation, and in Eco Pro mode, regenerative brakes accumulate energy for the battery and, with the foot off the accelerator at cruising speed, the gearbox disengages from the engine and Coasting mode the car follow "on the stick", saving fuel and abusing the Cx of 0.32 to go further by spending as little as possible. I managed to make up to 10.8 km / l of smooth gasoline, good for a 4.4-cylinder 8-cylinder engine, but who said that you can always ride smoothly with this car?

It is sinking the foot for an acceleration or resumption and not believing what is happening. The whole body is glued against the seat, the gears are changed quickly and if the Sports mode is activated, with each gear change an overflow is heard, simulating a backfire. Those who see from outside do not believe that something so big accelerates so much, and keeping the attention to the radars is mandatory not to accumulate fines. The ventilated discs on all four wheels make the car brakes as brutally as it accelerates, and if it were not for the tire weights fighting the asphalt on the brake pads, you would not know how incredible those metal pizzas are inside the wheels. If it were not for ABS, the tires would be square.

By the way, what tires? These Pirelli P Zero 275/40 (front) and 315/35 (rear) that equip the car, and cause it to devote curves on the road with a spectacular fitness for a car with 1.70 m height and two tons of weight. Remember the BMW Adaptative Drive? Then, by putting the Sports mode into action, the car gains steering and rigid suspensions and, with the help of the rear-actuated torque-vectoring system, the car presents sensational cornering neutrality, even if the Sport + mode and traction controls) is engaged. Although this is a 4 × 4 car, with excessive abuse the rear flaps, and neither need to be an English journalist to control the getaway as a genius.
